If you find that your company is strapped for money or would like to try out free tools, our team at Big Red SEO have a few technological gems you might just love! Read on to learn more about how these tools can help your website see more traffic.

Google Places for Business Category Tool

When you type in your service or product, this tool will automatically bring up the best categories related to your business. This will help when you are setting up your Google+ Places so your customers can find you more easily. After all, if they can’t find you on Google, how else will they find you? When was the last time you saw a phone book?

    Google Local Toolbox

This tool comes from “51 Blocks.” It allows you to enter your business information and turns it into HTML code for you like HCard, Schema, GeoTags, and KML Location Code. This information helps the search engine understand who you are and what you do as a person or business.

    Google’s Gadgets Driving Direction Widget

Google has a nifty tool that allows you to embed code into your website that shows driving directions to your business, as well as a map. People will never get lost on the way to your location again…of course that all depends on how well they can follow directions.

    Plagiarism Checker

This is a good one and one of Big Red SEO’s favorites. Are you worried your competitors are copying your content and claiming it as their own? This tool allows you to check that. Copy and paste your text into the tool and it will show if your words are used anywhere else on the web.

    GetListed.org

This tool shows where your business is listed on the web and where it is missing from. It also shows unclaimed listings so you can claim the address as your own, just in case there is a duplicate. Then it breaks it down for you and gives you a To Do list for each listing site. That way you know everything you need to do in order to get your business listed and seen by searchers on the web.

    Local Analysis Google Places Tool

This tool allows you to see if all of your contact information is uniform across your whole website and if all of your citations and links are correct, and lets you see your competitors’ analytic statistics as well.

Ask an Omaha SEO Agency: Is My Website Credible?

As a leading Omaha SEO agency, we here at Big Red SEO get asked all kinds of questions in our initial audit consultations. Most often, a business will have us look at their existing website (which they had a low-quality website mill churn out) and ask us why they’re not seeing the rankings, visitors, and conversions they want. It’s not a problem with their overall business, as people love their products or services and they have great repeat business from those who’ve come to know them. They just can’t seem to get new customers in the door!

Is Link Building Harmful for SEO in 2015?

When Google employees speak, online marketers and business owners listen. That’s why Big Red SEO wants to make sure you didn’t miss a comment that was made during a recent Google+ live hangout. During this online event, John Mueller, who is Google’s webmaster trends analyst, was quoted as saying that “building links might ultimately do more harm than good” for a site. Since you’ve likely heard about the central role that links play in SEO, this may seem like a surprising statement. Because SEO is a field that continues to evolve, it’s important for Omaha businesses to understand what works
