Guaranteed Number One in Google – the Truth Behind the Line!

Omaha SEO - There Are No Guarantees! We’ve all seen the advertisements on Google and other search engines that guarantee that you’ll be placed at the top of the page and get the coveted Number One position for any term that you want.  Maybe you’ve seen the advertisements for “Guaranteed Number one in Google for $125/month” or “Guaranteed Internet Search Engine Optimizations”. Do a Google search for “SEO services” (without quotes) and check out the more than 16 MILLION pages found! Anyone who claims that they guarantee to get you number one in Google is either lying to you, or you’re paying through the nose for it!

Here’s the deal, you CAN get to number one in Google by paying anywhere from $5-50 per click. It’s the advertisements on the left side or the top of Google in the purple/pink area known as Google Adwords (Paid Per Click – PPC).  Getting an organic site listing, however, takes a little more work than $100 will buy. Granted, if you search for “Omaha Search Engine consultant“, you’ll see our site near the top of the page, but this is because we’re using what is called a “long-tail keyword”.  The more words in the search, the easier it is to rank toward the top of the page. If you search for “Omaha SEO”, we’re ranked at the top also, but this is through a lot more work than $50 can buy.

The Truth about Some “SEO Experts”

SEO in itself is a very competitive term to rank for. There are millions of “experts” that claim to know what they’re doing, but too many of them are also the people that paid $500 for some online course that shows you them same process that every other person is doing. Big Red SEO has a team of people that have years of experience in the SEO field. One of our staff has 15 years experience tweaking and modifying pages and rankings.  This sort of knowledge can not be learned from a book. It takes time and errors in order to test and see what works and what doesn’t. Reminder, there is SEO you can perform yourself in addition to PPC or services being performed by a search engine optimization company. Check out “Omaha SEO Performed by YOU!

SEO Changes

The worst part of SEO is that if you go online and look around at articles, you’ll find hundreds of people that tell you to do a process one way, and then a few hundred people saying to do it another way. This is because the search engines are constantly evolving. SEO has changed a lot over the years (Check out the SEO History) and what was once a standard practice in Omaha SEO often gets changed over night.  If your Search Engine Marketing Company does not pay attention to these changes, your site will drop rankings. Be aware of those SEO Companies that guarantee you page one results or practice black hat SEO techniques as this can do more damage than good for your company reputation and search engine rankings.
