Meta descriptions are the text that appears just below the page title in your listing on the SERP. As with your page titles, your meta descriptions are an opportunity to connect with potential customers and tell them why your business is the best to satisfy their needs.
That involves giving them a value proposition in your meta description. Remember, a potential visitor is giving you something very important when they click on your listing; their time and attention. Whether you’re offering them knowledge, a special deal, or a product no one else has, make sure you acknowledge the importance of a visitor’s time by letting them know exactly what they’ll get if they click through.
